LPG vs Natural Gas — What's the Difference?
All of our BBQs and outdoor cooking appliances run on LPG (bottled gas). This is the simplest, most flexible way to power an outdoor kitchen in the UAE — and it works for virtually every home, whether or not you have piped natural gas.
What's the difference?
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is the gas supplied in refillable bottles or cylinders — the same familiar bottles used across the UAE for cooking. When your bottle runs low, the gas company swaps or refills it. LPG burns hotter and is ideal for grilling.
Natural Gas (NG) is piped directly into some buildings and villas through a fixed mains connection. It's convenient for indoor cooktops, but it requires a permanent plumbed gas line run to your BBQ location and a different set of burner jets.
Why we supply LPG only
LPG is far easier to live with. There's no need to run a fixed gas line out to your garden or terrace, no waiting on building approvals, and no specialist mains-gas plumbing. You simply connect a gas bottle to your BBQ and you're ready to cook. It also gives you complete freedom over where your BBQ sits.
“But my house has natural gas…”
That's completely fine. Having natural gas piped to your home does not mean you have to use it for your BBQ — and you don't need it at all. You can still enjoy a full built-in BBQ setup running on an LPG gas bottle, tucked neatly inside or beside your outdoor kitchen. The two are entirely independent.
How it works — it's easy
Once your BBQ is installed, getting it running is straightforward:
- We (or your contractor) install and position the BBQ in your outdoor kitchen.
- You arrange a gas bottle from your local gas supplier — the same companies that deliver cooking gas across the UAE.
- The gas company sends a technician to connect the bottle to your BBQ and check it's running safely.
- That's it — you're ready to grill. When the bottle runs low, you just call for a swap or refill.
